Statement from the Prime Minister (10/09/2025)

The following is a message from Byrish Prime Minister Declan:

Good evening all,

I write to you as the Byrish Armed Forces works at strength to defend our country from hostile strikes by the Lutonium regime. We have intercepted both drones and an ICBM at this moment, and will have official numbers when this offence ends; though we can confirm all but 2 drones (which missed their target) have been intercepted. This is a tremendous failure from Lutonium, and reinforces our personal boast as the most powerful armed forced nation on the planet. I would like to remind the dictators in Restoi of this fact.

The homeland anti-air defence of Byron is the best in the world, and operates on multiple concealed quantum-computing centres which calculate our interceptions and enact our jamming. The proof is now here that this is extremely effective and leads us with the safest air defence in the world.

Our intelligence services became aware of this planned attack at 1:04am on Monday 8th September 2025, the BAF and government were informed at this point too - we concealed this information from the public to enable our best opportunity at defending. This is the first foreign attack on Byron and is being treated as an act of war. My cabinet, BAF commanders and I will determine our next steps in the very near future.

For now, I ask all in Norsen to remain in refuge until the attack is over. You will be notified when it is safe to come out, so please keep online or in-tune to your radio. Rest assured, you and your home are safe. Byron is unaffected, our continued defence of the country 24/7 - as we always do - will mean tomorrow is business as usual.
