It is most certainly in the interest of Byron citizens, and others that more measures are introduced.
The following measures are now in effect:
Leaving or entering Byron is now prohibited as the border is now closing, from tomorrow evening it will fully close, anyone needing to return home should leave immediately
Lockdown is now in full effect; only leave your home for necessary reasons such as food shopping, or work if you can't do so from home
Online education is now in full effect for when students return in September
All local trains will now run at a reduced rate
All international trains will now be cancelled until further notice, including the new Oakaya Direct. The inter-country will stop at Byron but arrivals and departures will be blocked off, so entering the country is not possible.
Do not meet others unless you see them every 1 - 3 days, and only in groups of 4, excluding main household members
Police can now enforce fines upon rule breakers
You must work from home, if not possible, continue at work as normal
You must wear a mask unless you have a document with you from the BMC declaring you are exempt. Businesses cannot enforce you to wear a mask with this document.
There are no official public tests to check if you have Fury Infection, but if you have any of the symptoms, stay home for 20 days. Call the Byron Government number (+01 44), Press 3 for your Local Council, and tell them the situation. Also, tell them you will need your necessities delivered. The Government will cover this cost.
